i realize there several methods deploy printers in win2012r2 , rds in general, explain me why method not appear working? dedicated print server 15 tcpip printers installed.  each different hp has correct class driver installed.  each hp prints server no problem.  three of ricoh printers use ricoh class driver without issue.  one model ricoh had download mp 161 type 3 driver web, works flawlessly on print server. went rds 2012r2 server , in devices , printers manually added each of class drivers printers, list of v4 drivers matched print server exactly.  then added 1 ricoh v.3 driver. on print server in print management each printer right clicked>deploy group policy... selected predefined gpo, set per machine, gpo applied ou rds server in, , loopback replace enabled. gpupdate , rebooted rds server, logged console , of printers there expected.  the drivers different story.  the ricoh's use class driver, no problem.  the ricohs needed v.3 driver instead using hp laserje

i have computer policy renames local administrator account "something." same policy has "update" preference change password of "something." don't know if that's relevant. policy failing rename local administrator account. it's creating separate account named "something" instead of renaming administrator. in winlogon.log, see   error 1316: specified account exists.   error renaming administrator account.   even if delete the 'something' account machine. ahhh.  discovered something. if change policy renames administrator account names "something1," works. and new user named "something" gets created. so assuming want "something" instead: i had *policy* rename local administrator account "something." i had policy *preference* update password of the "something" account. i thought "update" meant "if x exists, make change x" , create , replace

i'm not sure if better suited question plain old server 2012 forums, feel free move topic moderators. quick story on our infrastructure. have been building our own servers past couple of years serve private cloud foundation using scvmm 2012 our engineers can build out , deploy vms needed without having ask them. has been working great until when decided use server 2012 after recent release of scvmm sp1 instead of 2008 r2 on our latest build. all 4 machines identical other operating system, 3 of using 2008 r2 enterprise , recent 2012 standard. 2 of these boxes running 4x2tb locally in raid10, 1 of them using microsoft iscsi initiator microsoft iscsi target setup has 8tb lun , latest server 2012 using iscsi initiator storage house vhds , vm config files. the server 2008 r2 box has 24 vms running iscsi disk reporting highest active time of 30%. vms work seamlessly , i've had no complaints. server 2012 box has 12 vms running iscsi disk jumping between highest active ti

i'm testing setup in lab since deployment failed @ client's location. test server windows server 2008 r2 standard. wsus 3.0 , working on port 80. client's office , lab setups on workgroup , without active directory. have created .reg file , merged client desktops. client's office , lab computers are mix of windows 7 pro , home windows 10 pro , home editions. pro pcs reporting in , getting updates. home editions not. i've seen mixed information online if home can used. see people saying need proper registry entries i've been finding bit different. with registry entries imported known work on pro clients, home clients check , updates they're getting them microsoft. verified looking @ (very messy) windowsupdatelog producted get-windowsupdatelog powershell command. http:// servers microsoft ones , not wsus one. internet in lab disabled, updates fail expected on home editions of windows 10. also, home edition clients never show in status section of wsas s

just yesterday mouse in sbs2008 guest system in hyper-v (server2008) stopped changing dot pointer. in guest os mouse not change. in second guest os (server2008) mouse changes supposed to. the integration services running services supported. and, "reinstalled" integration services pressing insert integration services disk tab of action tab. any suggestions. and logged vm , completed installation of ics manually??? hello, couldn't seem find forum server 2003, right spot. i relatively new client reporting has reboot server every 2 weeks (usually wednesday mornings). i've gone through event logs past couple of months. exception of sql database called bid2win fails quite often, there little no errors or warnings in system or application logs. i have been watching memory , processes on past couple of weeks , have not seen out of ordinary such memory leaks, high page faults, running low on resources, etc...the exception ultravnc had large number of page faults (10x higher other processes), other fields appear normal. my next best guess running every 2nd week, have not yet been able locate might be. scheduled tasks has entries syncbackpro runs every day, without issue. i guess question else should doing try determine cause of these crashes? server information: windows server 2003 (sp2) - latest updates of last night xeon 2ghz / 3.5gb ram 75% free space on c / 95% free on e c
