hey all, i have issue on win2008 r2 running hyper-v , 3 vm's, 1 scvmm (now not recommended, using v2v vmware). hyper-v member of the domain , running mcafee av exclusions created hyper-v (vhd, etc.file/folder exclusion). i stopped vm's , installed dpm 2007sp1 agent on hyper-v server dpm server, worked fine , can see dpm client dpm server. tried start vm' receives: an error occurred while attempting start selected virtual machine(s). 'vm name not initialize. before reboot start , run vm's fine. 1 of vm migrated gsx, has been running fine. rest created on hyper-v server. i've tried remove hyper-v domain had various domain related errors, still receives error. thinking doing os/hyper-v reinstall same error. any ideas appriciated. cheers - john   i have reinstalled server after worked fine! -j Windows Server  >

so, update hit computer, , caused ton of issues.  first, start menu stopped working few days.  (i got fixed via post power-shell commands)  the second big issue cortana isn't working, click search, or click on ask me , nothing, cortana , nothing happens.  it's hp laptop that's of higher end.   re cortana not working   since see "ask me anything", assumed country/region has been set @ united states , primary language set english (united states). you have activated cortana, yould still need enable it................. click "ask me anything" > top left, click 3-lines (hamburger icon ) > select settings > there enable cortana way want moving slides right. should self-exlanatory. so have attempted migrate old v1 style of roaming profiles new v2 version , running problems. here run down current setup : 2 dell 1950 servers setup server 08 r2 , file services + dfs management rol es. 2 quotas set redirected folders , user profiles. desktop redirected server. documents redirected users home folder mapped drive. profile.v2 directed server. new setup: gpo user state virtualization redirects user folder except appdata mapped home drive. appdata folder setup roaming roam background, settings, quick launch etc. user's home folder limited 10gb. the problem: have set copy data, not that. on fresh profiles has no issues. when vpning in, takes 10 minutes load profile, @ point there lot of unsynced folders. appear grey little xs on them. had setup offline file sync in order make user folders , files seen both on original computer , home drive server. got errors other gpo mapped drives did not map , think because of gpo time out. windows shows roamin

necesito saber o establecer de un grupo numeroso de servidores con sistema operativo win server 2003 cual tiene la version de parches o actualizaciones  mas actualizada para homologar todo el grupo de servidores una misma versión de actualizaciones. ya liste un archivo con los parches o actualizaciones de cada uno de los servidores pero no logro establecer cual o cuales esta mas actualizado para así homologar el resto esa versión. buenas, si es un grupo numeroso, te va llevar menos tiempo instalar y configurar un wsus e incluir este grupo de servidores en el, para así poder determinar cual  es el nivel de actualizaciones que deseas alcanzar. de todos ya no hay actualizaciones para windows server 2003, el 14 de julio de 2015 acabo el soporte de microsoft, así lo que más sencillo sería actualizarlos hasta esa fecha e ir pensando en un migración. un saludo. hi have single lenovo x3550 server dual-intel cpu , 128gb ram lenovo v3700 das storage , dual sas controller cards. hyper-v host installed on server raid1 drives vm's installed on v3700 drives. we ran 2 years windows server 2012 r2 , hyper , upgraded (clean install) to windows server 2016 datacenter. after enabling windows server backup and scheduling backups late evening have bsod on following bugcheck. attempted 2 methods of backup 1 separate volume on attached das stoarage , 1 last evening external usb drive. appears tho backup starting @ scheduled 10:00pm throws error "eventid 51 warning of \device\harddisk1\dr1 during paging operation" 3 minutes process , the bugcheck , reboot. appreciated. before backups system seems function fine.  log name:      system source:        microsoft-windows-wer-systemerrorreporting date:          8/21/2017 10:53:39 pm event id:      1001 task category: none level:         error keywords:      classic user:

hello, i'm trying create script takes 3 *. xlsx files looks "id" matches , updates or adds items needed. i'm hung process have in place remove items have been updated second part of script doesn't add duplicate values or overwrites anything. i've tried few variations of results have been inconsistent. bulk of script works fine removing items in $remove equal items in $updatelist seems problematic.  so isnt whole thing basic load 3 .xlsx documents loop through values in $updatelist -eq in $master , update fields. save updated id's in $remove array , loop through "trying" remove equal items in update list. here failure if remove , updatelist same error generated think needs break if updatelist = 0 somewhere. in 2nd half removes items shouldnt ne.. not entirely sure how happens does. i've confirmed in error log bogus data in updatefile array. maybe there better , cleaner way accomplish dont know, appreciated. $remove = @() foreach
