hi noriaki,
if want add physical disk increase capacity of volume, can use third party storage tools add additional physical disk operation system. windows server system provide diskpart utility, can dynamically extend volume size within system after additional physical disk added storage device. if raid array supports hot-swap, operating system not need shutdown if replace disk. relies on piece of hardware called hot-swap backplace makes hot-swapping possible.
