hello,  i'm creating disaster recovery plan, , i'm testing procedures perform bare metal recovery of hyper-v server 2012 r2 (the free one, not full windows server), node in cluster, , i'm using native windows server backup tool. my environment follows: 04 hp blades - bl465c gen8 - running hyper-v server 2012 r2 (free), in 1 cluster, storing vms in 3par 7200 storage node. the idea simulate complete failure of node, , bare metal restore of host, instead of manually reinstalling , configuring scratch. ran backup job on host, , have proper backup set restore. problem i'm unable start recovery environment restore host. if try boot server either hyper-v server ou windows server installation media, on cd-rom, flash drive, external hard disk, pxe boot on wds server, whatever, can perform clean install, never shows errors, whatsoever. problem whenever click "repair computer", should launch recovery environment (winre), sits there, on blue screen, mouse cu

hello, i've issued san certificates both primary server (domain1) , replica server (domain2) enterprise ca , replication these certificates works fine if use internal name of replica server when enabling replication on specific vm.  if change name of replica server public address though "servername.dyndns.org"  (using dyn cheap external access testing) in order try replication on wan following errors.  same certificates , configuration work fine local name.  have of internal , external names on certificate subject alternative names, i've imported ca certificate the trusted root store of primary server, have hyper v replica open on firewall, , forwarding 443 through external firewall well.  help!   enabling replication failed. hyper-v failed enable replication. hyper-v received digital certificate not valid replica server servername.dyndns.org. hyper-v failed enable replication virtual machine new virtual machine’: specified certificate self signed.

i have (with agony) configured trust relationship between our new windows 2008 server r2(a) , existing windows 2000 server(b).  2008 server replaces 2000 version 1 crashed.  trust existed on 2000 version , allowed users domain b access printers , file shares on domain a, not other way around.  working in 2008, however, users on domain b lock pc @ night (instead of doing shutdown) have logoff/logon again in morning in order access shares/printers. users getting annoyed, because on system , start working, not noticing there issue until try print or open shared document on domain a.  have close out of applications , logoff/logon.  is there timeout setting or need change correct this?  can provide little insight? delete broken trust on domain(a), delete broken trust , metadata cleanup on domain(b) failed domain controller, , create new trust. clean dns (b domain) of references failed domain controller (srv, a, , ptr records) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727050.aspx#edaa

hello! i trying mirror system drive (that has 100 mb system reserved partition) drive of same size , cannot find option allow me mirror it. i did set dynamic did drive want mirror to. same make, same model, same size exactly. there way can mirror drive os?
