Deploy Printers with Group Policy, Windows Server 2012 to XP 32bit.


the instructions deploy printers xp32bit workstations call using pushprinterconnections.exe.  apparently there issue , hotfix windows 2008 add pushprinterconnections.exe server 2008.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973878

what in case of windows 2012? 

does hotfix apply server 2012 or there solution?

hi,

for don’t have available 32 bit windows xp client, can’t testing in lab. sorry this.

however, if our windows xp service pack 2 or later, there workaround printer deploying via group policy. in fact, can use group policy preferences deploy printers users or computers.

through gpp, can deploy shared printer, tcp/ip printer, or local printer, , can use item-level targeting of gpp filter our printer deployment.

the path is: computer configuration/user configuration\preferences\control panel settings\printers
