hello,  for irs security requirements, need restrict access c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe web servers following:   system: full control local administrators: full control but default cmd.exe inherits it's permissions parent.  so decided remove inheritance cmd.exe's ntfs permissions, , left behind 'system' & "local administrators' full control.   boom!  'start run -- cmd' no longer works.  can't open/execute cmd.exe.  even thought logged in user local admin.   after further testing, 'local users' (which domain users member of default when server joins ad ds domain) group absolutely required in order allow successful execution of cmd.exe.  of course particular ace inherited default - trying remove.   why?  local admins there.  this wouldn't problem other file.  why system file acting differently?   thanks in advance!  hi, thanks post. please check permission below when grant related p...

hi team. reason, downloaded application named 'report  server' from  website  and try install on server failed. then raised an  ticket  to devexpress support team, checked log file , tell me because digital certificate issue. checked digital signature of application. shows 'the digital signature invalid'. i downloaded application on computer(win7) , digital signature fine , installed. copied our server , found digital signature became invalid (to avoid network transport issue, download application server again still has same problem). according devexpress team suggestion, modified purposes of certificates doesn't work. as couldn't attach file forum, mind go to  the link  to check details information?  i understand complex think may have clues provide me for  troubleshooting .   tried delete thawte certificates (3 cas) of them returned after few second.  i confusing now..... suggestion appr...

i have a  win 2003 native forest will 65 child domain.the forest zone hosting dns subzones for 65 child domains.the forest zone become big , has starting affecting replication.i tasked setting delegation child domains , child domainscan hosting there domain records in domain partition.we decide try in couple virtual environments before going production.so logged on 1 of child domains , created separate zone child domain named child.root.com , got records populated etc.in 1 lab had manually create delegation on forest root zone child domain.in lab delegation got created automatically.i need to define process production , dont seem undertstand why behaviour different in labs. are child domains represented as separate dns zones? if so, create secondaries on dns servers in respective child domains, transfer zones master, change type primary ad-integrated, point dcs in child domains local dns servers, restart netlogon on each, , create delegation on dns in forest root domain... hth marcin...
