Remote Desktop Connection Manager - Inheriting Default Settings
i'm using remote desktop connection manager 2.2. i've configured default settings necessary under tools > options > default group settings. go create new rdcman group , save file in appropriate place. properties on new rdcman group. settings set 'inherit parent', in case default group settings configured earlier (source: default group settings). right click rdcman group add new server or group. when go through settings new server or group options have 'inherit parent' checked aren't inheriting settings rdcman group. seems 'default default' settings (i.e. use credentials i'm logged onto machine with, remote sound set bring computer , drives aren't redirected).
i'm running windows 7 professional x64. i've tried on machine (windows xp pro x86) , same issue.
any ideas?
hi,
thanks response. appears working not expected. seems when create server or group does load inherited default options parent. example, i've created new group inherits settings remote desktops parent which in turn inherits settings default options. settings wrong once created properties of group , looks ok. right click new group , choose 'add server'. fill in details see default options not loaded options inheritance checked. however, if leave these settings are, still inheriting, , click 'add' load inherited options new server connection profile. so, if properties on newly created server see options have been inherited correctly.
i guess it's nuance of program bit confusing @ first. perhaps behaviour modified subsequent release?
great program way!
