Does 2-nodes Storage Space Direct need AD?

since new clustering feature in ws2016 makes possible configure workgroup cluster without domain joined, mean ad not necessary if configure 2-nodes (or 3-nodes) hci system using s2d?

failover clustering no longer requires node domain joined, applies spaces direct.  yes, domain'less 2-node spaces direct deployment.

now question comes want run on it...  works great sql server.  mention hyper-converged.  hyper-v live migration not work on domain'less cluster... , hyper-v cluster without live migration, pretty worthless.

so end answer, not want do.

RDS 2012 r2 collections show black screen and then close

greetings,   have deployed 2 server 2012 r2 rds session collections (each 2 rdsh servers, , both going through same gateway/broker server), , during testing had no issues, rolled production, our users have been experiencing black screens when attempting log in, , remote desktop window closes (no actual login performed).   seems happen intermittently, , on both collections @ different times.  thought had solved disabling use of udp in rdp clients, wasn't permanent fix.   looking @ event log of 1 of affected servers, there seems event id 36 generated @ every logon attempt following message: an error occurred when transitioning csrconnected in response evcsrinitialized.
