Network shared printer shows "Offline" after wide area network connection has been restored
good day,
we have multiple locations connect our data center run applications. have 2 windows print servers @ datacenter (1 windows 2003 r2 , 1 windows 2008) remote printers installed , shared tcpip printers.
my question/problem when wan link goes down, printer status (on windows printer server) changes offline. when wan link restored, have restart print spooler service (on both w2k3 , w2k8) on server printers work again. ideas how make printers come online when wan link restored?
thanks,
steve
