hello i have confusing problem. when open server shares windows 7 machine (our corporate image) run menu using \\servername.domain.com method (fqdn) new windows explorer window list of shared folders on server. expected. when use server netbios name \\servername in windows explorer get.... list of iis webdav folders if ordinary shared folders!!! , connection established via http port 80. does know can cause strange behavoir? logon drivermapping sctripts suffering, , many client applications don't know how disable windows explorer connecting webdav folders, workaround work. apply iis host header default web site, responds web site name ( www.domain.com  any dns alias mysite).  if have used servername allow access web site need change that.  theory should prevent webdav responding windows explorer when accessing server name. http://www.visualwin.com/host-header/   Windows Server...

this winserv03 machine. it has 2 arrays, 1 mirror w/ system , 1 raid5. running mylex pos extremeraid 2000. i have windows 2000 sp4 server pdc , print server.  whenever reboot server 1 of printers has reinstalled.  of rest of printers remain , function properly.  once reinstall printer works fine until next reboot same thing happens.  printer connected network via hp jetdirect.  there 3 identical printers on jetdirect (3 port jetdirect) , of them print same server.  have tried deleting , reinstalling printer no avail.  please help. hi, thanks post. i confirm if issue occurs of printers. what's exact model of problematic printer? have tried contact hp support check if there setting or compatibility issue? thanks, miles Windows Server  >  Windows Server General Forum
