DHCP server and scope statistics are inaccurate and automatically update does not work

hi,

i have observed strange behavior statistics of dhcp server in windows server 2012 r2. “in use” count never in line actual count of leases. e.g. scope has 15 leases count of “in use” in statistics 7. even if manually refresh statistics (click refresh button) values net getting refresh actual values.

in additional noticed cannot enable automatically refresh of statistics. can enable checkbox in properties after reopen dhcp console option again disabled (checkbox cleared).

does experienced same?

thx

hi j0fe,

there is explanation provided an mvp:

the "in use" value of "display statistics" don't show number of addresses used dhcp clients show maximum value of addresses that dhcp server has leased.

for example, if dhcp server has scope 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.100 , addresses leased are

192.168.1.32, 192.168.1.36, 192.168.1.39

the "in use" value of statistics 39 if addresses used 3.

check if meet issue.

best regards,
