Windows 2012 RDS - Allow more than 2 RDP connections to server

i’m new remote desktop cals , im getting confused old terminal service information 2008 out there vdi push 2012. want allow more 2 remote desktop connections number of 2012 servers @ time. have purchased 10 2012 rds cals , understanding allow 10 total users connect number of 2012 servers. right each server allows 2 rd connections @ time.

what i’ve done far:

  • i have rd licensing manger configured 10 total licenses.

what don’t understand:

  • how apply these licensing 2012 servers want allow more 2 rd connections.
  • in reading on rds seem sent down path of vdi don’t need virtual desktop need connection existing servers.

RDS 2012 r2 collections show black screen and then close

greetings,   have deployed 2 server 2012 r2 rds session collections (each 2 rdsh servers, , both going through same gateway/broker server), , during testing had no issues, rolled production, our users have been experiencing black screens when attempting log in, , remote desktop window closes (no actual login performed).   seems happen intermittently, , on both collections @ different times.  thought had solved disabling use of udp in rdp clients, wasn't permanent fix.   looking @ event log of 1 of affected servers, there seems event id 36 generated @ every logon attempt following message: an error occurred when transitioning csrconnected in response evcsrinitialized.
