Nat type

ok know theres forums elsewhere still havnt solved problem.  first things first... live in college apt complex , internet included rent.  dont know our internet provider don't think help.  thing when moved in had ethernet ports in rooms.  have no access router or modem...they integrated apt complex. me not knowing modem manufacturer cant change nat type open because set strict.  question how can change nat type without me knowing manufacturer. there url can go tell me.  or have solution me? want change nat type open instead of strict...

for nat settings, should done 1 router. there no other way proceed should connect router , change wanted settings.
