• custom virtual machine configuration directories

• custom virtual hard disk directories

• snapshot directories
• vmms.exe
vmwp.exe

you have option - don't use antivirus. ben armstrong briefly discusses here: http://blogs.msdn.com/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2009/03/17/antivirus-and-hyper-v-or-why-can-t-i-start-my-virtual-machine.aspx. don't run antivirus on home hyper-v server. i'd never propose option @ work, of course.
