Worries about adding Essentials Roles to 2012 STD

this first real? here say, have read, learned forum has been big in past, i’m sure continue in future, said.<o:p></o:p>

when first started @ place of employment had 3 small desktop servers running. (3) using server 2003 not 1 of os activated. still working in workgroup environment not domain.  there many more problems servers , network alike, take time mention. point, installed new hp proliant dl320e gen 8 server them. xeon® cpu e3-1270 v2 @ 3.50ghz, 16gb 1600 ram (4), 1tb sata hdd’s in raid (0), windows server 2012 r@ std. fact had (40) ws , 50 users , growing. installed server 2012 std os. have liked go essentials though. still have 1 of other servers running @ point still has server 2003 on it, , used our time clock software (time force ii) fact software can't installed on domain controller. it's nice server though has 16 gb, of ram , xeon e3-1220 v2 3.10ghz cpu. have planes in near future. @ point i'm thinking of making backup dc , e-mail exchange. <o:p></o:p>

to question after giving ground in case it's needed. main dc server running 2012 std , active , operational @ time. take advantage of of features of essentials role. can install essentials role on active std server without affecting server, settings , network now?  i believe essentials role can have dc in forest. , not true essentials server. going (add roles , features) , adding essentials role work me without effecting domain , users , work files @ now?<o:p></o:p>

also opinion on idea of using 2nd server backup dc , email exchange server. have run time force ii software on virtual machine since software can’t installed on dc. fine me use vm other things well. ? j<o:p></o:p>

would please let me confirm whether it’s windows server 2012 or windows server 2012 r2? the windows server essentials experience role available in windows server 2012 r2 standard , windows server 2012 r2 datacenter.

Failed to query the results of bpa xpath

0x300000d errors in Microsoft Remote Desktop client

we use rd connect home users office. @ server side remote desktop gateway configured on 2008r2 server. experience following:   for years worked fine, starting last year users apple macbook experienced connection errors after new version of microsoft remote desktop in app store , automatic update. after couple of weeks error disappaered when new updates released. since 6 8 weeks problem again. because don’t have macbook cannot reproduce problem.   starting couple of weeks samsung s6 experiencing problems, here version 8.1.37.135 installed, error displayed is: can’t connect tot remote pc because remote desktop gateway server temporaraily unavailable. try connecting later or contact network administrator assistance. error code  0x300000d   because has worked fine years expect issues on client can configuration error on gateway server.   who pin point real cause?   however, testing other rd gateway server works ok settings identically....
