Dealing with Multiple Student Profiles in a University Environment

hi everyone,

please excuse me if not right area ask question :-). work @ university department, , main job consists of maintaining desktops running windows 10 education 64 bits (recently upgraded version 1607). while not work directly server side (mixed forest domain functional level of 2008 r2), understand managing issue has lie somewhere in establishing right gpo policies , settings:

-to log-on windows 10 desktops, students use domain account creates local profile on each machine (not roaming).

-student accounts severely restricted accessing through gpos

-over time, new profiles added, machine begins have slower , slower login-times. while normal login time on our older platforms should under 3 minutes, after few months grows on 10 minutes.

-we have gpos delete user profiles not fix slow login times @ desktop.

my question -- how approach problem? hints!!
