Cluster Manager

i have installed multiple nics on windows 2008 r2 cluster. however, in failover manager, see 1 nic per machine. example, have heartbeat1 & heartbeat2 in server , heartbeat1 & heartbeat2 in server b. when viewing failover manager see heartbeat1 both servers.the same iscsi. ideas why?

hi,

why have 2 heartbeat connections. heartbeat goes on dedicated private hb  connection plus public connection. network cards cannot see in same subnet ones can see? should have these configured in independent subnets.

you might have this: -

server - heartbeat 1 - 192.168.1.1 = visible

server - heartbeat 2 - 192.168.1.2 = not visible

what need : -

server - heartbeat 1 - 192.168.1.1 = visible

server - heartbeat 2 - 192.168.2.1 = visible both on diff subnets
