Server 2012 - defrag a deduplicated volume?

hello,

is possible defrag server 2012 depuped volume?

thanks,

jason

to purpose?  nature of deduping says going have 'fragmented' files.  defragging not change that.

personally, 90% or more of applications, defragging not make much, if any, difference.  yes, it's nice have clean disk short period of time, unless have need large contiguous areas - , application noticably slower if not have - defragging modern disks not going change performance characteristics much.  yes, there applications makes sense, of time general cleanup work windows in background sufficient workloads.

and, pretty easy test.  set deduped volume , run defrag on it.  if microsoft doesn't support it, tell so.
