thank help.

hi obrick,

the raid 1 os disk not supported extend diskspace via hotplug .

so , if want extend raid 1 disk , please refer following step:

first of , avoid potencial issue please export vm safe disk (such usb hard drive or network storage)

backup c drive " raid5 disk" via "windows server backup" (for details please refer following link)

                http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770266(v=ws.10).aspx

remove old raid 1 and rebuild new raid 1 with 2 500g disk

restore backup raid 1 disk (for details please refer following link):

                 http://www.wbadmin.info/articles/howto-bare-metal-restores-windows-server-2008-backup.html

(may need prepare raid controller driver "bare-metal-restore" , can contact server vendor detail)

hope helps

best regards
