Remote Administrative Connection Limit
why windows 2008 r2 server limited 2 remote administrative connections? viable question have not been able find answers.
why we, administrators, not able configure maximum number of remote administrative connections?
i can license server , allow me have number of application users, have 3 administrative users need log in @ same time , can't. if log in application users, can't jobs, there's no sense in that.
is there work around allow more 2 remote administrators connect @ once? mean we'd willing purchase license or not allow third administrative user. seems case of microsoft telling can, , can not our own servers. reason we're using windows 2008 can build our apps run on using .net. if not that, we'd using linux , have no limit number of administrators.

hi,
if need more 2 connections need install rd sesson host role service , rd licensing role service (if not have rdl server) , purchase rds cals needed. can still have 2 free connections using /admin command line switch of mstsc.exe, connections not using /admin need rds cal.
for ease of use recommend purchase rds cal each administrator user , have them connect (without using /admin). normal rd connection rdsh more feature-rich /admin connection.
you may have many administrator connections hardware allows long rdsh installed , have rds cals. example, if needed have 100 administrator-equivalent users connecting , performing administrative tasks @ same time it.
note: rd session host supported on standard, enterprise, , datacenter editions of windows server 2008 r2. not supported on web server edition.
