Error generating cryptographic key--unable to install certificate services


need help installing certificate services windows component.  whether select enterprise root ca or stand-alone root ca, cryptographic key generation fails 1 of 2 errors.  either:


an error occurred when generating key “servername” certificate services service.  either csp configuration not complete or key length not supported.  please make sure csp installed correctly or select csp.  access denied.  0x80070005 (win32: 5)
-or
an error occurred when creating new key container “servername”.  not have write access permission key container.  please use different ca name.  object exists. 0x800900f (-2146893809)


when try open certificate services, error “cannot manage certificate services.  specified services not exist installed service. 0x424 (win32:1060).  administrators , system have full control documents , settings\all users\application data\microsoft\crypto\rsa , hklm/system/ccs/services/protectedstorage.  error whether use server name, fqdn or ie remote.externalname.com. what's going on? (exchange 2003, server 2003 standard sp2 domain controller)

based on information in log, still suspect permission issue. please verify administrators has full control permission on folder c:\documents , settings\all users\application data\microsoft\crypto\rsa\machine keys
