How can I get a list of BSSIDs without using netsh?

i'm looking object have contents similar output of

netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid

i don't want use unreliable parsing of text output, using netsh out.  wmi interface worked in windows xp doesn't work now.  there's api, there no net interface it's pretty difficult work in powershell.  know of couple of adapters, i'd keep contained in 1 script.  don't think find or write type api invoke in powershell.

is there else i'm missing?
