Domain Controller Decommission

we are currently working in windows server 2000sp4 domain. there 1 domain controller holds fsmo roles plus dns.there no other domain controller in topology. believe sysvol replicating, not have confidence in integrity of information. not able access group policy mmc shows red x. servers current state according dcdiag syslog fails , kcc fails. wondering if bring in new server 2008r2 , transfer roles it, issue continue?

are trying default domain controller , default domain policy missing?

fix same can run dcgpofix.the dcgpofix tool not restore security settings in default domain controller policy original state.this restore default group policies how after active directory installed.

not recommend above step unless , until clear above policies missing.can post gpotool result(copy /paste) clear view.

can check policies folder below guid for confirmation.

domain default gpo guid: {31b2f340-016d-11d2-945f-00c04fb984f9}
domain controller default gpo guid :{31b2f210-016d-11d2-945f-00c04fb981f1}

Failed to query the results of bpa xpath

0x300000d errors in Microsoft Remote Desktop client

we use rd connect home users office. @ server side remote desktop gateway configured on 2008r2 server. experience following:   for years worked fine, starting last year users apple macbook experienced connection errors after new version of microsoft remote desktop in app store , automatic update. after couple of weeks error disappaered when new updates released. since 6 8 weeks problem again. because don’t have macbook cannot reproduce problem.   starting couple of weeks samsung s6 experiencing problems, here version 8.1.37.135 installed, error displayed is: can’t connect tot remote pc because remote desktop gateway server temporaraily unavailable. try connecting later or contact network administrator assistance. error code  0x300000d   because has worked fine years expect issues on client can configuration error on gateway server.   who pin point real cause?   however, testing other rd gateway server works ok settings identically....
