Possible Bug?

i have hyper-v r2 full install cluster(latest version patched) setup follows:

1 x r710,(2)e5530 quad core cpu’s, 32gb ram

2 x 2950,(2)e5450 quad core cpu’s, 32gb ram

the cluster working fine except following issue;

if turn on cpu compatibility option on vm’s, either from;

scvmm(latest version patched) - allow migration virtual machine host different processor

or

 vmm  - migrate physical computer different processor version

the r710 kicks bsod every couple of minutes.

all servers have latest bios , configured identically.

anyone run before?

thanks,

hi,

generally speaking, recommend use identical computers set cluster.

did mean after enable “different processor” option, r710 run bsod? have done before bsod? did action such perform failover?

by way, if issue continues, recommend contact microsoft customer service , support (css) via telephone dedicated support professional can assist request. because seems system crash issue , need analyze crash dump file narrow down root cause of issue. unfortunately, not effective debug crash dump file here in forum.
