How can I protect the contents of the documents without stopping others to change the margin of the header and footer?

i creating word documents , wanna restrict changes on few paragraphs. however, after finished "restricted editing", of users tell me can't change margin of header , footer (the content of header , footer not protected , can edited). wanna create file rights allow others edit margins. may me resolve this? in advanced!

hi saugut,

is obliged restrict editing? or want prevent being modified accident?

here workaround if second:

select paragraphs don't want modified accident, , group them. (in word 2010, click developer tab, click group twice in controls group.) lock paragraphs.

when trying edit locked field, promopt "this modification not allowed because selection locked."

the disadvantage that, if "ungroup" paragraphs, editable again.
