Using KB125996 to move shares from Server 2003 to 2008R2

hello,

i aware of fsmt, hoping simpler method of moving windows shares 2003 server 2008r2 server.

both servers virtualized , using san.    can move san volume 2003 server 2008r2 server.

my question moving file share information.   kb125996 provides instructions on how save , restore existing windows shares.   article applies versions of windows using.

however, article not clear if method can used save shares 2003 server , restore shares 2008r2 share.

can create new 2008r2 file server, move ntfs volumes 2003 server 2008r2 server , use instructions in kb recreate shares on 2008r2 server?

hi,

start windows 2000 windows 2008 r2, location of registry key store sharing settings not changed, migration.

detailed steps are:

1. export key , import windows 2008 r2.

2. disconnect lun , connect windows 2008 r2.

3. make sure drive letter not changed, or modify key change drive letter before import in step 1.

Failed to query the results of bpa xpath

RDS 2012 r2 collections show black screen and then close

greetings,   have deployed 2 server 2012 r2 rds session collections (each 2 rdsh servers, , both going through same gateway/broker server), , during testing had no issues, rolled production, our users have been experiencing black screens when attempting log in, , remote desktop window closes (no actual login performed).   seems happen intermittently, , on both collections @ different times.  thought had solved disabling use of udp in rdp clients, wasn't permanent fix.   looking @ event log of 1 of affected servers, there seems event id 36 generated @ every logon attempt following message: an error occurred when transitioning csrconnected in response evcsrinitialized.
