How can I downgrade 2012 RDP Device CALs to 2008 R2

hi,

i have purchased rdp device cals under open license.  need downgrade them 2012 version 2008.

we have 45 installed , purchased 5.  time round 2012 version, ingram told call microsoft , have them downgraded 2008.     sound easy.  i've spent 8 hours on 2 days being bounced around 1 department regarding this.   must have made 10 calls , given out details 10 times.

i got close when contacted clearing house, , said yes can you, find out deal retail licenses , not open licenses , put me main support number.    after speaking various people there, 1 of whom told me rudely need reinstall os , contact professional, last person spoke said open a  support ticket @ cost of $390.00 or post technet free.  here am.

i need downgrade rdp 2012 licenses 2008 r2, purchased under open licenses without software assurance.   in australia.  how do please.
