not terribly helpful. have tried every fix suggested emr company engineers including:

1.      the site added trusted sites
2.      set ntlmv2 response
3.      pop-up blocker off
4.      windows firewall off
5.   persistent bitmap catching turned off
6.   turning off mapping sound, printer etc.

still can't work. emr company server resides has pretty thrown hand , left me twisting in wind given 1 workstation problematic , problem on "my end".
suggestions ?

you check addins key (both in hkcu , hklm) make sure don't have rdp addin interfering things.

hkcu\software\microsoft\terminal server client\default\addins

easiest way rename addins key temporarily, see if problem goes away.  if does, can investigate addins listed one-by-one.
