WID password being reset on each restart

hello

i not entirely sure belongs in forum. if not, please should go , repost.

i recently installed wsus on win 2012 standard edition member server in our domain. had several issues installation resolved. 1 of issues encountered windows internal database service not start because of logon failure. had provide new password after started. detailed @ end of thread.

what happening each time server restarted wid service fails start , need supply new password , manually start service. the password supplied previously is not being saved.

i don't have problem doing this, forget to enter the new password/start service. means the wsus console fails open when started , after resetting password , starting service database out of date.

is there way guarantee service remember password supply?

can me this, please?

thanks!

i have checked local users , groups' users node wid account not listed:

first off... above account reference incorrect. cannot find account because no such "account" exists, or have been created, name. name entered in account field instance name of database service, not account under runs.

the wid should running in context of network service account. please set "this account" network service.

  1. click on browse. (this opens select user dialog.)
  2. click on advanced.
  3. click on locations.
  4. select local machine , click ok. (should first node in tree list.)
  5. click on find now.
  6. select "network service" search results , click ok.\
  7. restart windows internal database service.
