Remote desktop on 2012 server - lisencing questions

hi;

i have first 2012 server.

i understand should limited 2 rdp connections (administrator) if don't go through adding lisences etc.

at same time, enabled remote desktop, , created few users (non admin) , added them remote group. can log in , good.

so, when need aquire cals users/machines?

after deploying rd session host role in windows server 2012, have grace period of 120 days rds cal's. before 120 days end need have server rd licensing role enabled , added deployment, activated , enough rds cal's need installed. these can user cal's or device cal's. needs windows server 2012 server since windows server 2012 rd licensing role can hand our rds cal's windows server 2012 rd session host. 2 admin connection mend administrative purposes, "use" these 2 connection use /admin parameter mstsc command.

Failed to query the results of bpa xpath

we use rd connect home users office. @ server side remote desktop gateway configured on 2008r2 server. experience following:   for years worked fine, starting last year users apple macbook experienced connection errors after new version of microsoft remote desktop in app store , automatic update. after couple of weeks error disappaered when new updates released. since 6 8 weeks problem again. because don’t have macbook cannot reproduce problem.   starting couple of weeks samsung s6 experiencing problems, here version 8.1.37.135 installed, error displayed is: can’t connect tot remote pc because remote desktop gateway server temporaraily unavailable. try connecting later or contact network administrator assistance. error code  0x300000d   because has worked fine years expect issues on client can configuration error on gateway server.   who pin point real cause?   however, testing other rd gateway server works ok settings identically. hi ruud, as works rd
