have promoted new server third dc.

all seems ok, replication, dns, etc working after boot in system event log see errors:

log name:      system  source:        microsoft-windows-eventlog  date:          25.5.2012 14:32:15  event id:      23  task category: service startup  level:         error  keywords:      service availability  user:          local service  computer:      dc3.x.x  description:  event logging service encountered error (res=5) while initializing logging resources channel microsoft-windows-api-tracing/operational.

, 40 microsoft channels:

the event logging service encountered error (res=5) while initializing logging resources channel microsoft-windows-appid/operational.

the event logging service encountered error (res=5) while initializing logging resources channel microsoft-windows-applocker/exe , dll.

the event logging service encountered error (res=5) while initializing logging resources channel microsoft-windows-applocker/msi , script.

the event logging service encountered error (res=5) while initializing logging resources channel microsoft-windows-audio/capturemonitor.

etc...

there no error event before event id 23

any idea?

have checked path of system event log? similar happened me once, turned out log file corrupted. updated path , created new evt solved issue me.

RDS 2012 r2 collections show black screen and then close

greetings,   have deployed 2 server 2012 r2 rds session collections (each 2 rdsh servers, , both going through same gateway/broker server), , during testing had no issues, rolled production, our users have been experiencing black screens when attempting log in, , remote desktop window closes (no actual login performed).   seems happen intermittently, , on both collections @ different times.  thought had solved disabling use of udp in rdp clients, wasn't permanent fix.   looking @ event log of 1 of affected servers, there seems event id 36 generated @ every logon attempt following message: an error occurred when transitioning csrconnected in response evcsrinitialized.
