KB978262 - not reporting in WSUS

hi all,

i have been having problems workstations installing update kb978262 wsus, workstations windows xp sp3, , machines not reporting update has been installed, update released last week , still have on 50% of our machines, not installing 1 update although has been authorised fo rthe group , every other update released @ same time has been installed.

the status of update on machine in wsus console requiring update update has been downloaded, , when click on status following

[pc name]

event reported @ 20/05/2010 15:01:
installation successful: windows installed following update: cumulative security update activex killbits windows xp (kb978262).

 

but in wsus console still comming needing update. have had around cannot find relating this.

 

all machines have been rebooted several times beween releasing update , now, , have manually ran wuauclt /reportnow

on of machines , still report same.

 

has else had simmilar issues, , issue wsus console or workstation?

i quite new wsus administration not sure usefull, if there logs please let me know , them.

actually, update was released last february -- may approved installation last week, however. :-)

and still have on 50% of our machines, not installing 1 update although has been authorised fo rthe group , every other update released @ same time has been installed.

successful installation event, , if obtained information wsus console, client has reported update installed. i'm confused question is.

but in wsus console still comming needing update.

wuauclt /reportnow command useful when actual event has occurred , reporting of event pending (e.g. there reporting events in queue waiting uploaded wsus server).
