Users in More Than One Local Group
hello,
we have servers (windows server 2003) in single user in more 1 local group. example, there user in both the administrators , power users groups. don't know why set this, i'm wondering the pros , cons of situation (if any).
what permissions granted user--administrators or power users? is, windows give user or least restrictive permissions?
any other issues should aware of given scenario?
thanks.

user's effective rights equal whatever granted each group. in example administrators group grants many more rights power users group, assignment bit redundant. if non-default permission or access resoruces assigned power users group not assigned administrator group, not redundnant. way know sure perform full security audit of servers , resources. there no harm in leaving group assignment on existing users.
