Recommendations on Tools, Scripts, or Method to Track Stale Open Terminal Connections

hello all,

i'd ideas the forum on what software tools, scripts, or methods there keep an eye on open terminal connections on windows 2008 domain.

our dilema: @ given time our administrators , users may logged in multiple terminal sessions and various reasons not log off correctly (lost connectivity, lost power, closed terminal window rather log off, etc).  forget logged in , sessions stay open, has impact on accounts when comes time password renewal.

any tools can recommend welcome, or if there is way through event viewer possible better (i imagine there log on event tracks when user logged in not sure event id be).

thanks.
