friends,

recently, had difficulty understanding concepts of secondary zones, stub zones , conditional release forwarder.

difficulties brazilian teachers not know how respond these questions technically weak
think microsoft should invest in training of brazilians technically ridiculous work microsoft products.

ja corruption exists in brazil , still not have qualified teachers teach us.

unfortunately brazilian , live in filthy country.

brazilian , ashamed of parents, i'll post question here because i'm sure soubem answer question.

had problems, forums, parents answers, , friends.

know, is, definition of zones , conditional forwarder, know definition easy each one, i'd know is:

1 - when using secondary area, , in circumstances , when?
2 - when using stub zone , under circumstances , when?
3 - using conditional forwarder situation , what?

remarkable asked several professionals, , answers same, "secondary zone copy of primary zone" "stub zone pointing dns servers" etc, etc, etc..

no 1 can answer me example when? where? use situation?

i'm tired of hearing same thing, not need know definition, know, tested laboratorios in etc.

end result of these zones same thing, know when use secondary zone? stub zone? conditional forwarder?

why ask this? because can use give me same result, microsoft did not create 3 different things use randomly agree?

1 - when using secondary area, , in circumstances , when?

• secondary zone read copy of primary zone.
• records can read not updated.
• used in scenarios want read access dns zone database hostname resolution such remote site/location lack security or don't want unauthorized updates dns zone database. 
• also secondary servers can provide means offload dns query traffic in areas of network zone heavily queried , used. additionally, if primary server down, secondary server can provide name resolution in zone until primary server available.

2 - when using stub zone , under circumstances , when?

• stub zones used when have limited/low bandwidth cannot replicate entire (large) dns database off remote location/site. in case secondary zone can used.
• a stub zone used resolve names between separate dns namespaces. e.g.  when corporate merger requires dns servers 2 separate dns namespaces resolve names clients in both namespaces.
• stub zone contains records necessary identify the authoritative dns servers zone.  
• stub zone consists of soa. ns, host records , ip address of master server receives updates.

3 - using conditional forwarder situation , what?

• as name suggest cf used forward requests particular dns server name resolution based on postfix named string in dns query. e.g. may want forward requests sales.contoso.com particular name server, create conditional forwarder under dns server properties tab.
• cf can used in various scenarios, such when have child/parent domain can configure cf on dns server in child domain resolve names in parent domain on specific dns sever in parent domain.
• also example, name servers in microsoft.com domain configured forward queries names end marketing.microsoft.com authoritative server marketing.microsoft.com, , removes step of querying internal root servers of microsoft.com, if available, or removes step of configuring dns servers in microsoft.com zone secondary zones marketing.microsoft.com.
