Strange GP error on Domain Controller

the message below has been lighting event viewer few weeks.

the processing of group policy failed. windows attempted read file \\domain.a.local\sysvol\domain...local\policies\{id...}\gpt.ini domain controller , not successful. group policy settings may not applied until event resolved. issue may transient , caused 1 or more of following:

a) name resolution/network connectivity current domain controller.

b) file replication service latency (a file created on domain controller has not replicated current domain controller).

c) distributed file system (dfs) client has been disabled.

background: message on 2008r2 domain controller, domaina.local. domain has read-only trust domainb.local, @ remote site , running on 2003 domain controller.  in other words, domaina.local looks domainb.local user authentication, domainb.local can't same domaina.local.

the reason trust setup users @ domainb.local able login domaina.local domainb.local credentials.

i wouldn't concerned if error said couldn't ready policy domainb.local, think saying domain can't read information itself.

i'm not sure else provide, feel free tell me i'm crazy or silly not providing else. :-)
