ADMT Migration, lost file share access

so have bit of strange scenario that's issue now.

4 years ago, our company sold, admt migrated domaina (2008 r2) domainb (2008 r2) sid histories.  users in domainb able access old resources in domaina expected via sid history.

we have been sold again , have new domainc (2012 r2).  we have migrated users , groups domainb domainc sid history.  so if you're following along, objects in domainc have sid histories domaina , domainb.  domainc has 2 way external trust "original" domaina.  sid filtering disabled, , sid history enabled in both directions between domain , domainc.

user in new domainc unable access resources in domaina, should because sid history remains original amdt migration.

for example, user folder on \\fileshare\userdata\myuser has permissions of domaina\myuser

now domainc\mynewuser (with sid history domaina\myuser) should able access old user data folder, getting access denied.

the same goes true shared folders have permissions applied via security groups.

one other thing keep in mind - our file shares on netapp filer.

i able share folder on domaina domaina\groupa.  user domainc\mynewuser membership in groupa , associated sid history works!

any thoughts?

hi,

thanks post.

first, suggest check permission of user on resources in domain a.

second, need check attribute of sid history of user.

now domainc\mynewuser (with sid history domaina\myuser) should able access old user data folder, getting access denied.

>>>access denied may caused permission.

best regards,

jay
