2003 and 2012 mixed domain time frame

hi,

is there time limit of how long can run 2003 domain controller within 2012 domain?  introducing server 2012 domain controller in 2003 domain, , may keep 2003 domain controller year before decommissioning it.

if want run 2003 domain controller in 2012 domain, not recommend. domain level reduced since there 2003 domain controller.

is domain , forest running @ windows server 2003 functional level? , want introduce server 2012 domain controller environment.

if so, add computer running windows server 2012 operating system root domain of forest. since domain , functional level 2003, please make sure add computer domain controller existing root domain, not new domain controller new domain.  and before decommissioning server 2003 domain controller, please migration active directory windows server 2003 windows server 2012.

and since end of support windows server 2003 is slated july 14th 2015, consider migrate earlier.
