RemoteFX with Dual Graphic card on WinServer 2008 R2 SP1

the ideal using 1 graphic card local display , other graphic card dedicated remotefx.

i use graphic card more video memory remotefx serving more remotefx clients. work?

is possible use 2 graphic card on winserver 2008?

hi,

in experience, cannot split 2 cards local users or remotefx users. when 2 graphics cards plugged server board, become whole “big” card remotefx users.

for remotefx users, @ least 1 graphics processing unit (gpu) required on remotefx server. gpu driver must support directx 9.0c , directx 10.0. if more 1 gpu installed in remotefx server, gpus must identical. gpu must have sufficient dedicated video memory separate system memory.

important:

for list of gpus work remotefx in windows server 2008 r2 sp1, see blog post more partner momentum around microsoft remotefx in windows server 2008 r2 sp1 beta (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=197416).

the final release of windows server 2008 r2 sp1 include evolved list of gpus. list of recommended gpu drivers, see blog post beta testing microsoft remotefx in service pack 1 (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=197417).

as maximum monitors , resolutions increased each remotefx-enabled virtual machine, amount of required video memory increases. gpus in server must have sufficient video memory virtual machines turned on @ same time. following list of video memory requirements maximum resolution , number of monitors:

note:

in addition previous video memory table, windows server 2008 r2 sp1 has been tested 12 virtual machines per gpu, total of 24 virtual machines on 2 physical gpus, providing necessary dedicated video memory. number continue refined in later releases.
