Extreme Latency When Server is connected to network
hello,
after setting windows server 2003 enterprise edition , placing on network, have extreme latency issues on wan side of network (router modem). when disconnect ethernet switch attached to, pings in 20ms range ip address of isp's node. however, when plugging in server network pings of 300ms+. have ended processes dyndns updater, processes running iis , windows shared drives. task manager shows steady .2% network usage well. clues or opinions on might causing appreciated.

may know router model in case , how did specified network entries (ip address, gateway ..etc.) interface connects switch , server host ? via dhcp or statically assigned ?
maybe caused due performance reduction on router after got new active interface not sure.
