when setting domain controller, important use static ip address. depends on how network setup...
typically home networks use 192.168.0.0 networks. these called class c networks, important thing implementing network infrastructure control parts of setup, including basic network itself.
the ip address can whatever want be... use 1 non-routeable private network classes, a, b, or c. can tell you're new level of knowledge on subject... recommend reviewing video @ trainsignal training.com
