Office 2010 File Locked error when opening over a network share

i have several users have intermittent problem. when opening office docs located on network shared drive, receive box stating file locked user. if offers option open read or notify when available. if select noitfy, respond it's available editing. problem intermittent, , doe snot happen everyone. none of files in use anyone. clues?

if there has temporary file (~$filename.doc) in share folder before user open word document, delete file , open word document again.

here's how display hidden files , folders.

1. open folder options clicking the start button , clicking control panel, click  appearance , personalization, , click folder options.
2. click the view tab.
3. under advanced settings, click show hidden files, folders, , drives,
4. uncheck hide protected operating system files (recommended),  and click ok.

 

note: under normal conditions, these files closed , deleted windows when quit office feature.

if file still in share folder, please clean temporary folder or create new share folder if old folder corrupted.
