Exporting Hyper-V Secondary domain controller

hello im unable  to migrate vm  2008 standard to 2008r2 standard host

ive tried hyper-v manager , through scvmm, there update need apply?

error  unable migrate or clone virtual machine software ( 6.1.7601.17514 not match version the  virtual machines virtaulization software on source (6.0.6002.18005)

what mean when 'migrate' when referring hyper-v manager?  i'm not aware of migrate command there, unless talking quick migration.  if that's case, yes, running version conflict integration services.  have remove integration services on old host before migrating new , install new on new machine.

but, if trying export domain controller, is generally better practice create new domain controller , rid of old one.  reason might want export/import if had lot of stuff running on domain controller other active directory, in , of not considered best practice, though there times when might make sense.

if you  want migrate it, simpler copy vhd file, create new vm in new environment pointing vhd, , redefine network properties.
