"Invalid signature" in Word (SharePoint Signature Collect Workflow)

hi,

i created word07 file run signature collect workflow in sharepoint 2010 server. worked ok except got red "invalid signature" each signature line, , want avoid that.

since it's internal use, each user created own digital id in word without using commercial ca partner. 

if ca required rid of "invalid signature" error, have windows 2003 ca server use, i'm not clear process. think need create 'code signing cert' user obtain , install, not sure.

i appreciate if can point me direction start with.

i have not used workflow, based on have read it, looking provide users digital signatures. have 2 ways of providing these, by using external trusted ca or by an internally managed certification authority (ca).

the quickest way, if don't have own public key infrastructure (pki) setup, is certificate microsoft partner ca. item should review discussion on how indicate signature trusted: using digital signatures - read whole thing because near end talks resolving invalid certificate issues word. since situation involves sharepoint, add trusted data provider might apply, not sure that.

if instead, want to make use of windows server 2003 ca, should:

1. read bit digital signatures: digital signature and description of digital certificates.
2. if plan use ca of own, you should @ least basic understanding of pki hierarchies: pki design brief overview.
3. if using active directory, can use certificate autoenrollment. sure understand certificate templates , puposes.

i know lot of information digest. ultimately, need client computers involved trust same ca. allows them trust or validate the signatures seeing.
