Local User Accounts

folks,

soon using ms windows server 2012 r2 essentials(this our first server). have windows 7, 8 , 8.1 client machines , has local account on machine.

my question when configure ad , join these clients , users domain, user account , password need same use? if not, industry best practice?

any pointers helpful , appreciated.

thank all!

local , domain accounts different. if use same words username , same passwords, active directory accounts different. have different security attributes (sid).

while every computer in workgroup has own local administrator, active directory administered centrally from 1 (or more) particular domain controller(s).

in fact, distinguish accounts, write in ad

domain_name\domain_user_name

it not hurt read active directory, either technet, book or see lab , webcasts.

regards

milos
