DFR-R from i-scsi disk or symbolc link

hi all, i'm setting dfs-r folder replication between windows 2008r2 (branch) server , windows 2012r1 (hub) server.

on branch server have i-scsi connected disk , on want replicate 1 folder, during replication setup  wizard administrative share drive (let's f$) isn't show up.

is supported to setup dfs-r replication i-scsi disk?

if not supported have a symbolic link folder on different drive (a local drive where the administrative share shows up  without problem)?

thank in advance, george
