i have windows 2003 domain many gp settings. one of can't find. it has favorites bar in ie. when user ou logs on computer windows os, favorites saved either favorites bar, or in favorites folder, disappear on next logon. this happens time.
i thought create ou blank gp , blocked inheritance. i moved user original ou test ou, replicated changes, , rebooted computer on user log on. the user logged on , settings original ou still applied.
i created new user in test ou , no settings applied, want.
what best way remove original ou settings user in original ou?
thank help
typically these settings should revert not configured. of previous gpo's have scripts associated them? if script launched doing changes require script revert them back. though in 1 case have seen have go gpo , mark "not configured" , let clients refresh before remove gpo.
i recommend in new test ou on test machine run rsop.msc the "run" window. this show group policies, versions , object group policies coming from.
