Need help about "The directory service has exhausted the pool of relative identifiers"

hello,

have domain 2 servers windows server 2003r2 sp3 , workstations windows  xp sp3 or 7 sp1.
know it's sound bit older, it's have now!

domain managed single dc holds roles ad , dhcp, dns...

works fine several years, since last few days following message every time try create new user account:
"the directory service has exhausted pool of relative identifiers"

i've not found solution!
many articles on web, speak rid master problem not reachable, doesn't appear apply case because have 1 dc (so should not have communication problem itself).
second server have (windows 2003r2 sp3 too), domain member , runs files server.

have advice me resolve our domain controller problem?

still have windows 2003r2 sp3 license unused.
possible fix our problem building new server , giving him role of secondary dc?

hi

strange error, tend think ntds corruption @ first working before.

try maybe esentutl, use esentutl when ntdsutil tool fails repair active directory database 

do have hard drive controller error in eventlog ?
