Renaming roaming user profile folders

from time time user married or whatever, username needs change.  use aduc that, easy enough.  i'd rename profile , home folders.  until process has been rename user, go profile tab, change username-specific portion %username% , 1st time login generates profile.  once that's done, copy contents of old profile folder (minus ntuser.*  , related files)to newly created one, update ntfs permisssions , ownership sub-contents match new user account.  or least believe process, though it's been while since i've done it.  used leave user profile folders old name @ point rather find efficient way rename them instead.

google searches bring people posting renaming local pc profiles.  though concepts same, hoping hear people work ad reguarly , have established process this.  perhaps script even.

thanks much.

hi,

sorry delay.

for step 3, value centralprofile pointed network path. network folder renamed, system not able find still point original folder in registry key. need modify manually. if user using eifferent computers, think needs edited on each computer --- the sid same may try set group policy change value account, changed on computer user logged on.

meanwhile i'm thinking whether "change the folder name keep original share name" workaround?

in addition, puppy grows up really fast :(
