hi, we have developed wpf application want host on remote desktop (windows server 2012 r2) several of our clients. while testing performance found poor in comparison running application on desktop computer. we know due lack of gpu on server, remote fx might (albeit expensive) solution our problem. however, while further testing, found surprising , significant improvement in performance after installing visual studio 2015 on our windows server. of improvement in fact, wouldn't need further gpu hardware offer performing solution our clients. i'm talking 5-10 times faster loading , response times our application. the problem is, don't want go installing visual studio on terminal servers of our clients, package necessary performance gain. after installing visual studio, started uninstalling every component installs through 'programs & features', pinpoint 1 responsible gain in performance, when last component uninstalled, performance still improved. i...

hello we have experienced issue our clustered environment. have connection broker cluster 2 nodes, manage connections going 2 terminal servers. noticed users have sessions on both ts servers. connection broker cluster has never gone offline , there no related errors in logs. does have idea how happen?  hi, can give more information on environment, cluster, os ver, hyper-v in equation. howe rdp sessions called @ client end etc. m if find information useful, please rate it. :-) Windows Server  >  High Availability (Clustering)

hello! we have been trying network unlock working bitlocker. working before doesn't anymore since tried deploy on our actual wds server instead of test server. moving on certificates didn't seem work, , creating new ones same .inf file don't work either. keep getting pin prompt on client machine. here symptoms: on client machine, event log says "bootmgr failed obtain bitlocker volume master key network key protector". on wds server, "[wdsserver/wdspxe/nkpprov] not find configuration file section corresponding specified certificate thumbprint. no subnet restrictions apply certificate. certificate thumbprint = < our certificate >, hresult = 0x80070002. also, "[wdsserver/wdspxe/nkpprov] not find configuration thumbprint. certificate thumbprint = < our certificate >". troubleshooting: we have confirmed certificate has been deployed via group policy , shows protector in manage-bde. group policy settings network unlock enab...

different domians (a.local , b.local) @ site , no trust between there reverse lookup zone 172.16.18.0/24 there record created  server1 , server2 (appliances)in b.local workstation @ a.local domian, no issue resolve server1.b.local , 172.16.18.1.  but, server2.b.local (172.16.18.2),but, no 1 can resolve nslookup 172.16.18.2 (reverse) (can't find 172.16.18.2: non-existent domain) thank you. if you're saying workstations in b.local can't resolve 172.16.18.2, should make sure there ad-integrated reverse zone configured on b.local dns servers , server2.b.local able register ptr record in zone either rebooting server or running "ipconfig /registerdns" given you've described, fact a.local systems can perform resolution seems unrelated.  using different set of dns servers. hope helps.     Windows Server ...

i noticed awhile ago after bit, got left arrow button @ login screen, no users log in with. re-installed windows scratch. happened again, , kept happening. realized yesterday happens when wireless turned on. believe due group policy have enabled user authenticates our domain using secure wireless.  have policy enabled under "wireless network (802.11)". if turn off wireless can log in again, turn wireless back on, login options go away. so no 1 has seen this?  i can fix temporarily turning off wireless (hard switch), logging in, , turning wireless on.  i don't have reboot, go control+alt+delete , turn wireless off...
